Boat Detailing in Park City, Utah

Jordanelle is fifteen minutes down the hill and Rockport is twenty the other way. Park City boats tend to be newer, darker, and worth protecting properly — and they're sitting at 7,000 feet when they aren't on the water.

Why Altitude Matters Here

Park City Sits Higher Than Anywhere Else We Work

UV intensity climbs roughly 10–12% for every 1,000 meters of elevation. Park City sits around 7,000 feet — meaningfully higher than the valley, and higher than the lakes themselves. A boat stored here between weekends is absorbing more UV parked in a driveway than most boats get while actually being used.

That matters most on dark gelcoat and metalflake, which is a lot of what we see coming out of Park City. Those finishes show every swirl and fade fastest — and they're the most expensive to correct once they've gone flat.

Jordanelle Reservoir

The closest ramp and the busiest. Deep, clear, and full of wake boats — heavy traffic on the water and mineral-rich water on the hull.

Rockport & Echo

Quieter alternatives out toward Coalville. Same hard water, same high-altitude sun on the drive and at the ramp.

Deer Creek

Half an hour through Heber. Warmer water and late-season algae that leaves a waterline band.

On a newer boat, film is the better math

Yacht Armor™ is a physical film that takes rock chips, heals its own scratches, and runs 5–7 years — versus 12–18 months for ceramic. On a boat you plan to keep and eventually sell, it protects resale in a way coatings can't. Transom coverage from $900, and we're the only certified installer in the state.

Questions

Park City Boat Detailing FAQ

Do you come up the canyon?

Regularly. Detailing and ceramic coating happen at your place — home, garage, or storage. Yacht Armor film installs happen at our Bluffdale shop, because the material has to go on in a dust-free environment, and we'll arrange pickup and delivery.

My boat is black. Does that change anything?

It changes a lot. Dark gelcoat and metalflake show every swirl and oxidize visibly faster, especially at this elevation. They're also the most expensive finishes to correct once they've gone flat, which is why we push protection harder on dark boats than light ones.

The boat is stored here but we're not local. Can you still help?

Yes, and it's common. We don't need you present — just access to the boat. We'll send photos when the work is done.

Is a trip charge added for Park City?

No. Standard per-foot pricing.
