No Shop, No Crew, No Reputation

That's what we started with. A small mobile detailing operation — showing up at people's driveways, doing the work properly, and getting paid after they'd looked at it and were happy. That's still how the detailing side runs, and it's still why most of our work comes from people who've used us before or been sent by someone who has.

Austin is a veteran and still serves in the reserves. That shows up in how the shop operates more than it shows up in our marketing — things get done on time, done right, and nobody talks their way out of a mistake.

Along the way we trained on paint protection film for cars — the clear urethane that goes over the front end of a new truck to stop rock chips. Then we picked up regular detailing work for a boat dealer, spent a season around hulls, and started asking an obvious question: is there a version of this for boats?

There was. And it turned out most shops answer that question the lazy way — they take automotive PPF and put it on a boat, because it's the film they already stock and already know how to lay. But car film was engineered for something that lives in the air and occasionally gets rained on. A boat lives half its life in the water.

Yacht Armor is one of the only films actually engineered for marine use — formulated for constant water contact, mineral load, and the UV a hull takes sitting on open water. We went and got certified on it, and we're still the only authorized dealer and installer in Utah.

Why Film Doesn't Go On in a Driveway

Marine protection film has to be laid in a controlled, dust-free environment. Any grit that gets trapped under it is there permanently — you can't fix that later without pulling the panel and starting over.

So film work happens at our shop in Bluffdale, on taped floors, indoors. Detailing and ceramic coating we'll happily bring to you.

Anyone offering to wrap your hull in your driveway is either cutting a corner or doesn't know better. Neither is what you want on a boat that cost more than your truck.
