Being close to the canyons means Jordanelle is an easy run up Parleys and Deer Creek isn't much further. It also means your boat sits in the path of canyon wind, and takes a harder winter than anything further out in the valley.
The thing we see most on Sandy boats is winter damage — road salt carried on the wind and thrown up during towing, sitting on a hull under a cover for six months. Salt is harder on metal fittings and gelcoat than most owners expect from a landlocked state.
